Research scholarship under Project IntegraValor

Tender opened for the award of 1 scholarship for a PhD student. This scholarship will be financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalization, in the scope of the Project “IntegraValor - Estratégia integrada de valorização de subprodutos agroalimentares”, with the reference POCI-01-0247-FEDER-072241.

The main tasks of this plan are:

1) Analysis of the nutritional value and physicochemical parameters of natural matrices;

2) Chemical characterization of the matrices using chromatographic and spectrometric techniques;

3) Extraction of coloring compounds using conventional and innovative methods and process optimization by response surface methodology;

4) Evaluation of stability and bioactive properties in vitro of the coloring extracts;

5) Exploitation and dissemination of the obtained results.

The research scholarship will have an initial duration of 18 months, starting on January 1st, 2022.
