OFFER DESCRIPTION

It is intended to contribute to the development of wire and arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) manufacturing processes applied in the construction industry. The main activities to be developed correspond to the testing/optimization of parameters and deposition strategies considering high deposition rates. In order to control the quality of the components produced, mechanical characterizations will be carried out through tensile and uniaxial compression tests. It is also intended to use non-destructive tests to evaluate some "typical" defects of WAAM additive processes, such as porosities or lack of fusion between layers that lead to a significant reduction in the fatigue resistance of the components and, consequently, in their lifetime. life, which may pose a safety risk.
