Summary: A research position for one Research Grant (“Bolsa de Investigação”) is open at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of project COMSOLVE with Nr. 047019 (CENTRO-01-0247-FEDER-047019). This project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), through the Regional Operational Programme of Lisbon (POR LISBOA 2020) and the Regional Operational Programme of Centre (CENTRO 2020) of the Portugal 2020 framework.

Work Objectives: • Design the architecture, modules and functionalities of the renewable energy community’ management system; • Implementation of secure communication mechanisms and the implementation of transactions based on blockchain technologies or other distributed ledger technologies (DLT), in order to have a track record of all energy exchanges; • Research and development of P2P algorithms for energy trading; • Dissemination of results through the publication of scientific papers in conferences and journals, as well as participation in the preparation of presentation and demonstration events for the project to the public.
Place of work: The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Aveiro of Prof. Joaquim Ferreira.
Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of renewal. Start date: December 2021 or soon thereafter.
