It is now open the call for awarding a research Scholarship (BI) in the scope of the Strategic Project of Support to Fileira do Vinho na Região Centro (CENTRO-04-3928-FEDER 000028), co-funded by Programa Operacional Regional do Centro – CENTRO 2020, under the following conditions:

Admission requirements:

BI recipients must be students enrolled in a Master's degree in Food, Biological and Food Sciences or Food Biotechnology, to consolidate their scientific training through to consolidate their scientific training through the development of research work in the in the area of Food Science.They must have some laboratory work experience working in a laboratory. They may also be aimed at carrying out R&D activities to be carried out by holders of an academic degree who are enrolled in courses that do not confer an academic degree integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution developed in association or cooperation with one or several units of R&D.

Work Plan:

Characterization of the vitivinicultural potential of the Region from the physical-chemical characterization of wines obtained from varieties of high commercial high commercial value varieties; Analysis of wood extractives by energized dispersive guided extraction;

Comparative evaluation of the oenological behaviour of the grape varieties with potential Beira Interior Demarcated Region.

Legislation and applicable regulations:

Amount of the monthly maintenance allowance: the amount of the grant corresponds to 835,98 euros, with reference to the table that integrates the Research Scholarship Regulations of the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, I.P. The amount is paid monthly and by bank transfer. In addition to this amount there is the Voluntary Social Security.
