Admission Requirements:

Regarding the admission requirements for this research grant, in particular, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related bachelor's degrees, offered by any Portuguese higher education institution. Furthermore, the applicants are required to have an interest in the Bioelectronics research field.

Work Objectives: The work plan is to conduct electrical measurements in bioelectronic devices. The bioelectrical signal patterns must be collected and processed using custom-made programs or signal processing tools available in Matlab.

Applicable legislation: A fellowship will be celebrated according to “Estatuto do Bolseiro de Investigação”, Law no. 40/2004, dated on 18th of August (Status of Scientific Research Fellow - https://dre.pt/dre/legislacao-consolidada/lei/2004-58216179 ), in its actual redaction, by Fellowship Regulation of Fundação para Ciência e Tecnologia (https://files.dre.pt/2s/2019/12/241000000/0009100105.pdf ), according to Reg. 950/2019, dated on 16th of December, and also by “Regulation of Instituto de Telecomunicações’ fellowships”.

Place of work: The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at Coimbra, under the supervision of Prof. Henrique Leonel Gomes

Duration: Three months. Start date: 1st of May 2024 or soon thereafter.

Monthly salary: 990,98  € According to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by FCT for positions held in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_atualizacao-2024.pdf) /according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by Instituto de Telecomunicações. The payment will be made by bank transfer.

Selection criteria: The candidates will be selected based on their CV (60%) and respective professional and training profile (40%).

The Jury retains the right to not admit any of the candidates that applied for this position whenever they consider that no candidate meets the minimum requirements for the position.
