RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP FOR DOCTORAL STUDENTS (REF. BI-DOUTORANDO-CAMELOT-3)

1 (one) Research Fellowship for Doctoral Students, financed by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I. P. (FCT) through National Funds (PIDDAC), as well by European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), through the Operational Programs “Programa Operacional Regional de Lisboa” and the POCI – “Programa Operacional Competitividade e Internacionalização” - Project CAMELOT: autonomiC plAtform for MachinE Learning using anOnymized daTa (LISBOA-01-0247-FEDER-045915), under the following conditions:

SCIENTIFIC AREA: Computer Science

Candidates must fulfil the following mandatory requirements:

- Be enrolled in the Informatics PhD programme through 2021/2022.

Candidates should have the following preferential requirements:

- Experience in developing compilers;

- Experience with refined types.

WORK PLAN:

- Exploration of Machine Learning pipeline verification in mainstream languages (e.g., Java, Python).

FELLOWSHIP DURATION:

The fellowship is expected to begin in November 2021. This fellowship is open for six (6) months, with an exclusivity regime, possibly renewable for equal periods of three (3) months. The last period of renovation is limited by the deadline of the project (01-07-2022).

MONTHLY ALLOWANCE AND SOCIAL SECURITY:

- The fellowship amount corresponds to € 1.104,64 (one thousand one hundred and four euros and sixty four cents), according to FCT Regulation for Research Fellowships, published by Regulation no. 950/2019 in the Diário da República, 2nd series, no. 241, of 16th of December, and available in the link:

https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores.phtml.pt . It will be paid monthly by bank transfer;

- The candidate to be hired may exercise his right to social insurance by joining the voluntary social insurance scheme, under the terms of the Statute of the Research Fellowship. The financing entities assume the costs resulting from the contributions provided for this Social Insurance, according to the Statute of the Research Fellowship;

- The subsidy provided for in Annex II of the above-mentioned Scholarship Regulation will be granted for registration, enrolment or tuition fees (article 18, no. 5, paragraph a)), to a maximum amount of 2,750.00 euros (two thousand, seven hundred and fifty euros).

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Candidates will be assessed based on their Curriculum vitae (CV) evaluation and, eventually, on a selection interview.

If the selection jury decides to proceed with the selection interview it will be held to the 3 (three) candidates with the highest classifications in the CV evaluation. In this case, the final classification will be obtained with a weighted average considering the following weights: 70% for the CV evaluation and 30% for the selection interview.
