Open Research Fellow Position for a PhD Student

The Centro de Investigação e Estudos de Sociologia (CIES-Iscte) of the Iscte - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa is accepting applications for one Research Fellowship for a PhD Student, within the framework of the Project “Students from third countries in Portugal: challenges of integration in a (post)pandemic era”, reference PT/2021/FAMI/706, funded through the National Program of the Fund for Asylum, Migration and Integration (FAMI), within the scope of the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2021-2027, in the following conditions:

Workplan:

The work plan will take place within the scope of the project “Students from third countries in Portugal: challenges of integration in a (post)pandemic era (PT/2021/FAMI/706),” and includes involvement in management and coordination activities including organization meetings with project team members; literature reviews and relevant documentation for project development; support in the development of methodological tools for data collection; including identifying the participants to be interviewed, conducting the interviews and focus groups, as well as transcribing the interviews and analyzing the data collected; general support for the execution of the project through the preparation of reports and writing of texts on the methodological strategy and results obtained, and collaboration in the writing of scientific articles and other forms of dissemination of results.

Workplace and Scientific Supervision:

The work will be developed at CIES-Iscte/Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Avenida das Forças Armadas, 1649-026 Lisboa, under the scientific supervision of Thais França (CIES-Iscte).

Duration:

The research fellowship will have the duration of 12 months and may be eventually renewed within the project duration and in accordance with the provisions of point 4 of Article 6 of the of FCT Regulation for Research Fellowships into force.
