Offer Description

Work plan:
• Development of a logic-based programming language with explicit timing information, for the specification and verification of hardware systems.
• Development of several extensions to the language to enable the faithful modelling of realistic hardware components.
• Implementation of a verification tool based on the previously described language.
• Development of case studies.

Workplace: The work will be developed at NOVA Laboratory for Computer Science and Informatics, Departamento de Informática / Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, under the supervision of Professor Bernardo Toninho.

Fellowship duration: The scholarship will last for 3 months, and may eventually be renewed.

The competition is open from 15/05/2024 to 28/05/2024.

*In the case of academic degrees awarded by foreign higher education institutions, and in order to guarantee the application of the principle of equal treatment for candidates who hold foreign and national academic degrees, it is mandatory to recognize these degrees and convert the respective final classification to the Portuguese classification scale.
** In the event that, at the time of application, candidates are not enrolled in a doctoral course, they must submit a declaration on their honour that they are eligible to enrol in that same training offer and specific academic year, and at the contractualization stage they will be required to submit proof of enrolment.
Documentation to be provided at the contractualization stage: Proof of enrolment in the doctoral program.

Benefits

Monthly maintenance allowance amount: The amount of the monthly maintenance allowance corresponds to €1.259.64 euros. based on the table of values for grants awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in Portugal, with payment made monthly by bank transfer.


Eligibility criteria

Selection criteria:
A rating will be made, on a scale from 0 to 20, taking into account the weighting of the following selection methods:
- Curricular evaluation (50%)
- Relevant experience to the execution of the project (50%)
The scholarship may not be awarded if the applications are not suitable.

Form of advertising/notification of results:
The evaluation results proposed by the juri will be notified, up to 90 days after the deadline for the submission of applications, by email, of the results proposed by the jury, with access to the minutes and the final ranking list.
After notification, candidates will have 10 working days to comment on the draft decision (prior hearing of interested parties, under the terms of the Code of Administrative Procedure). The final decision will be taken after the expiry of the prior hearing period, again notified to all candidates by e-mail. Of this final decision the candidates can file a complaint within 15 working days (to the e-mail address used for the notification), or a hierarchical appeal, within 30 working days, addressed to NOVA.ID.FCT's Board through the address [email protected] .
