Fellowship for Knowledge and Technology Transfer

CEBAL - Centro de Biotecnologia Agrícola e Agro-Alimentar do Alentejo opens a call for one fellowship for a person with Master degree for development of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer activities with scope of the project “Inov-Amendo-AL: Microenxertia in vitro de amendoeiras de valor acrescentado para a promoção do amendoal no Alentejo” (ALT20-03-0246-FEDER-000068), co-financed by the Europeran Regional Development Fund (FEDER) through the Alentejo Regional Operacional Program.

Offer Description:

Work plan and objectives

The project Inov-Amendo-AL aims to transfer scientific knowledge to the productive sector of almond culture, in order to validate technologies of propagation and screening for diseases of Prunus dulcis. The work plan consists of the field, laboratory, and office tasks in collaboration with the team of Inov-Amendo-AL project. Such tasks will include:

• Organization and participation in dissemination and demonstration activities;
• Collection of samples and data;
• In vitro e ex-vitro of plant propagation;
• Plant pathology assays;
• Organization of results and statistical analysis of data;
• Publication and dissemination of results, including project reports;
• Organization of results and statistical analysis of data.

Duration

The fellowship will have a duration of 12 months, starting from 1 November 2021, according to FCT Research Grants regulation, I. P.. The contract will not be renewed.

Workplace and Supervision

The work will be carried out at the Centro de Biotecnologia Agrícola e Agro-Alimentar do Alentejo (CEBAl), Rua Pedro Soares, Campus do Instituto Politécnico de Beja, Beja, Portugal (http://www.cebal.pt/ ).

The work will have scientific supervision of Liliana Marum.

Application deadline and form of submission of applications

The tender is open from 04.10.2021 to 15.10.2021

It is mandatory to formalize applications with the submission of the following documents:

i) Curriculum Vitae;

ii) Academic degree certificate. Certificate degree duly recognized in Portugal;

iii) Motivation letter;

vi) Declaration on honor that the applicant does not exceed with this contract an accumulated period of two years in this type of studentship, continuously or with interruptions.

Documents proving the awarding of academic degrees and diplomas, or the according to recognition - in cases of academic degrees or diplomas granted by a foreign higher education institution - can be dismissed in the application process, and replaced by the applicant's declaration of honor, with the verification of said condition taking place during the grant's hiring stage. The submission of the certificate is mandatory when signing the contract.
