Offer Description

Work Plan: Gathering requirements for an application that simulates drawing and painting in a magic lantern image; application development; availability to users in an exhibition and museum context; evaluation with users; participation in writing project documents and articles.

Workplace: The work will be developed at VICARTE and NOVALincs at NOVA School of Science and Technology, under the supervision of Prof. Nuno Correia and Prof. Márcia Vilarigues and, being the hiring entity NOVA.id.FCT – Associação para a Inovação e Desenvolvimento da FCT.

Fellowship duration: The fellowship is valid for 6 months expected to start on April 2024.

Application deadline and form of application submission: The contest is open from the 27/03/2024 to 10/04/2024.

a) Motivation letter;

b) Curriculum Vitae;

c) Master certificate (which can be replaced in the application phase by a declaration of honour, which minute can be found at https://www.novaidfct.pt/regulamento-de-bolsas-de-investigacao-da-nova-… )

d) Proof of enrolment compatible in a bachelor’s degree, an integrated master's degree, a master's degree, a PhD, or a non-degree course integrated into an educational project of a Higher Education Institution (which can be replaced in the application phase by a declaration of honour).

Skills/Qualifications

Recipients profile/category:

1. Degree in Computer Science;

2. The candidate must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree, an integrated master's degree, a master's degree or a doctorate, or in a non-degree course integrated in an educational project of a Higher Education Institution. The documents proving this situation must be presented, at the latest, until the contracting phase of the scholarship, before which they may be replaced by a declaration of honour.

Preferred factors:

i) attendance of the master's degree in Informatics Engineering;

ii) experience and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams;

iii) oral and written knowledge of the English language.

Benefits

Monthly maintenance allowance amount: The amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is € 990,98, according to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT, I.P., in Portugal. The payment method is by bank transfer.


Eligibility criteria

Selection criteria:

The selection methods to be used will be as follows:

a) Scientific merit of the candidate (including experience in preferential factors i) to iii): 70% (0 to 7 points);

b) Interview: 30% (0 to 3 points)

All applicants who meet the admission requirements in Section 2 will be selected for an interview.


Selection process

Composition of the Selection Jury: Prof Márcia Vilarigues (Chairwoman), Prof Nuno Correia (Effective Member), Dr. Vanessa Otero (Effective Member); Prof. Armanda Rodrigues (Substitute Member).

Form of advertising/notification of results: The evaluation results proposed by the juri will be notified, up to 90 days after the deadline for the submission of applications, by email, of the results proposed by the jury, with access to the minutes and the final ranking list.

After notification, candidates will have 10 working days to comment on the draft decision (prior hearing of interested parties, under the terms of the Code of Administrative Procedure). The final decision will be taken after the expiry of the prior hearing period, again notified to all candidates by e-mail. Of this final decision the candidates can file a complaint within 15 working days (to the e-mail address used for the notification), or an hierarchical appeal, within 30 working days, addressed to NOVA.ID.FCT's Board through the address [email protected] .
