Title : COMPETITION FOR GRANTING 1 Research Scholarship - - EXPL/QUI-OUT/0069/2021 - 2.2022
A tender is open for the attribution of 1 (one) Research Scholarship(s) within the scope of the R&D project entitled Interrogating Salmonella/host-glycans crosstalk: Structure-functional approach, with the reference EXPL/QUI-OUT/0069/2021, funded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, I.P/MCTES, under the following conditions:
Mandatory requirements: Candidates must cumulatively meet the following requirements:
Candidates must also present, at the time of contracting, proof of enrollment in a course that does not lead to an academic degree as part of an educational project of a Higher Education institution.

The selection methods will be as follows:
a) Degree Classification – 30% (score from 1 to 20);
b) Experience in biomolecular nuclear magnetic resonance and protein-ligand interactions (namely experience in the acquisition and analysis of triple resonance experiments for the assignment of protein resonances by NMR) as well, experience in expression and purification of isotopically labeled proteins for NMR studies - 50% (grade from 1 to 20)
c) Result of the interview in the case of candidates called – 20% (score from 1 to 20);
Only candidates that obtained a grade equal to or greater than 60% in the sum of criteria a) and b) will be selected for the interview.
The evaluation results proposed by the jury will be notified, up to 90 days after the deadline for the submission of applications, by email, of the results proposed by the jury, with access to the minutes and the final ranking list.
After notification, candidates will have 10 working days to comment on the draft decision (prior hearing of interested parties, under the terms of the Code of Administrative Procedure). The final decision will be taken after the expiry of the prior hearing period, again notified to all candidates by e-mail. Of this final decision the candidates can file a complaint within 15 working days (to the e-mail address used for the notification), or an hierarchical appeal, within 30 working days, addressed to NOVA.ID.FCT's Board through the address [email protected] .
The applications must be submitted between September 9th to 22th, 2022.

Form of submission of applications: Applications must be formalized, obligatorily, by sending an application letter. Applications must be submitted by email, addressed to [email protected] , with the reference EXPL/QUI-OUT/0069/2021 in the subject, and containing a single PDF file with the following documents in Portuguese or English languages. Or in person, from 9 am to 6 pm, on weekdays, to Helena Coelho, Department of Chemistry, lab 302/gab303, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, 2829-516 Caparica.
Documentation to be provided upon contracting: proof of enrollment in a course that does not lead to an academic degree as part of an educational project of a Higher Education institution.
The drafts of: i) fellowship contract, ii) final report to be presented by the fellowship holder, iii) final report to be presented by the scientific advisor, and; iv) declaration on honor, can all be found on NOVA.id.FCT website.
