A research position for one Research Grant (“Bolsa de Investigação Pós-doutoral“) is open at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of the Project P-0004-LX-19 – TopElect and P-0014-LX-20 - Simons. This project is funded by FCT/MCTES through national funds and when applicable co-funded EU funds

- Work plan: Investigate fluctuation induced phenomena (e.g., thermal fluctuations, quantum fluctuations, etc) in novel space-time modulated photonic systems, and how the time variance of the material properties affects the zero-point energy, quantum generation, topological properties, and others.

The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações – Lisboa, under the supervision of Professor Mário Gonçalo Mestre Verissimo Silveirinha

15 months, with the possibility of renewal (according to the regulations defined by FCT). Start date: October 1, 2022 or soon thereafter.
