Offer Description

An open call for applications for a Research Grant (BII) under the Project "UIDB/00690/2020_CIMO (Mountain Research Centre) with multi-annual funding for R&D Units (UIDB/00690/2020)", financed by national funds through the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT)/ Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education. The Research Fellowship Position will last for 3 months, renewable for an addition 6 months, probably starting on 1st of April 2024.

Benefits

The fellows will benefit of a salary of €541,12 as per the table of remuneration of FCT, I.P.. The fellow will also benefit from a personal accident insurance, and if not included in any social security protocol, may adhere to the Portuguese Social Security through the Seguro Social Voluntário (Voluntary Social Security), in the terms present in the "Portuguese Codigo dos Regimes Contributivos do Sistema Previdencial de Segurança Social". The monthly salary will be payed by bank transfer.

 

The selection methods to be used are as follows:

a) Curriculum evaluation and its adequacy to the project (30%);

b) Experience in field and laboratory areas related aquaculture and management and monitoring of freshwater fish populations (70%).

If necessary, there will be an interview with a weighting of 20%, with the remaining 80% related to curriculum evaluation.

Skills / Qualifications

a) Student enrolled in a master's degree in Technologies of Animal Science or related areas;

b) Experience in field and laboratory work related with aquaculture and management and monitoring of freshwater fish populations (70%).

Required languages
