Encontra-se aberto concurso para a atribuição de 1 Bolsa de Investigação para Bolsa de Iniciação Científica (BIC) no âmbito do Projeto“Planos Locais de Adaptação às Alterações Climáticas”,na Nova School of Science na Technology (FCT NOVA), nas seguintes condições:

1.     Área(s) Científica(s): Ciências ou Engenharia do Ambiente.

 2.     Requisitos obrigatórios de admissão:

i)              Estar inscrito num curso conferente de grau na área científica de Ciências e Engenharia do Ambiente.

3.     Os(as) candidatos(as) deverão possuir como requisitos preferenciais:

a)    Envolvimento em projetos relacionados com a adaptação às alterações climáticas

b)    Envolvimento em ações de literacia e educação ambiental

4.     Plano de trabalhos:

As tarefas a desenvolver pelo(a) bolseiro(a) incluem as seguintes:

a)    Apoiar o desenvolvimento de uma estratégia de desenvolvimento sustentável para a zona costeira Atlântica de Almada, num quadro de adaptação às alterações climáticas.

b)    Apoiar o desenvolvimento de um Living lab para a comunidade costeira da Costa da Caparica  na perfectiva de aumento da resiliência e redução dos riscos ambientais. 

5.     Legislação e regulamentação aplicável: Lei Nº. 40/2004, de 18 de Agosto, alterado e republicado pelo Decreto-lei Nº 202/2012 de 27 de Agosto (Estatuto do Bolseiro de Investigação Científica) e alterado pelo Decreto-Lei nº 233/2012 de 29 de Outubro, pela Lei nº12/2013 de 29 de Janeiro, pelo Decreto-Lei nº 89/2013, de 9 de Julho e pelo Decreto-Lei n.º 123/2019, de 28 de Agosto; Regulamento de Bolsas de Investigação da Fundação Para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P. em vigor (https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/docs/RegulamentoBolsasFCT2019.pdf ).

6.     Local de trabalho: O trabalho será desenvolvido no Departamentos de Ciências e Engenharia do Ambiente da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, sob a orientação científica do Professor Doutor José Carlos Ribeiro Ferreira

7.     Duração da(s) bolsa(s): A bolsa terá a duração de oito (8) meses não renovável

8.     Valor do subsídio de manutenção mensal: O montante da bolsa corresponde a €601,12 (seiscentos e um euro e doze cêntimos)  conforme tabela de valores das bolsas atribuídas diretamente pela FCT, I.P. no País (consultar Anexo I do Novo Regulamento) sendo o pagamento efetuado mensalmente por transferência bancária.

 9.     Métodos de seleção: As candidaturas serão ordenadas com base na avaliação curricular e, caso considerado necessário pelo júri, a realização de uma entrevista. Em todos os casos, a adequação do perfil do candidato será considerada de acordo com as funções/atividades a desempenhar. As candidaturas que não incluam todos os elementos exigidos para o envio da candidatura serão automaticamente excluídas do concurso. As fases e critérios de seleção e suas respetivas ponderações são as seguintes:

a) Avaliação curricular

i. Avaliação do currículo (70%);

ii. Carta de motivação (30%)

b) Em caso de necessidade de elementos de avaliação suplementares, poderá haver lugar a uma entrevista entre os candidatos melhor classificados no processo de avaliação, passando a ponderação percentual a ser de 70% para o resultado obtidos nos critérios mencionados na alínea anterior e 30% para a entrevista.

11.  Forma de publicitação/notificação dos resultados: Os resultados finais da avaliação serão notificados, até 15 dias após a data limite para a submissão de candidaturas, através de correio eletrónico, dos resultados propostos pelo júri, tendo acesso às atas e à lista de ordenação final. Após a notificação, os candidatos terão 10 dias úteis para se pronunciarem sobre o projeto de decisão, em sede de audiência prévia dos interessados, nos termos do Código do Procedimento Administrativo. A decisão final será tomada após o decurso do período de audiência prévia, novamente notificada a todos os candidatos através de correio eletrónico, cabendo reclamação da mesma, no prazo de 15 dias úteis (para o endereço de e-mail utilizado para a notificação), ou recurso, no prazo de 10 dias úteis, endereçado a ao presidente do Júri 

12.  Prazo de candidatura e forma de apresentação das candidaturas: O concurso encontra-se aberto no período de 03 a 11 de Abril de 2024. As candidaturas devem ser formalizadas, obrigatoriamente, através do envio de correio eletrónico para [email protected] , indicando no Assunto: “Candidatura a Bolsa de Investigação para  Iniciação Científica”; acompanhada dos seguintes documentos: Curriculum vitae do(a) candidato(a) (com um máximo de 10 páginas), comprovativo de inscrição no ano letivo em curso, coerentemente com o detalhado no ponto 2 do Edital, ou de uma declaração sobre compromisso de honra em como irá apresentar este documento no ato de assinatura do contrato de bolsa. Para os graus académicos obtidos em países estrangeiros, que ainda não tenham obtido ou o reconhecimento ou a equivalência ou o registo do grau, é necessário o reconhecimento do mesmo, nos termos previstos no Decreto-Lei n.o 66/2018, de 16 de agosto, conjugado com a Portaria n.o 33/2019, de 25 de janeiro.

 

One research Scholarship for candidates with a BSc degree is open within the framework of project “Planos Locais de Adaptação às Alterações Climáticas”, NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA), under the following conditions:

1.     Scientific area: Environmental Sciences or Engineering.

2.      Candidates must have as mandatory requirements

a)    To be enrolled in Undergraduate Programme in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences

3.     Candidates preferential requirements (not exclusive):

 a) Involvement in projects related to climate change adaptation

b) Involvement in environmental literacy and education actions

4.     Workplan:

a)    To support the development of a sustainable development strategy for Almada's Atlantic coastal zone, within a framework of adaptation to climate change.

b)    To support the development of a Living Lab for the Costa da Caparica coastal community, with a view to increasing resilience and reducing environmental risks.

5. Worksplace: The work will be developed Department of Science and Environmental Engineering, NOVA School of Science and Technology. The work will be conducted under the supervision José Carlos Ribeiro Ferreira,  NOVA School of Science and Technology, NOVA University Lisbon (FCT NOVA).

6.     Duration of the scholarship: The scholarship will last for eight (8) non-renewable months

7. Benefits: The amount of the scholarship corresponds to €601.12 (six hundred and one euro and twelve cents), according to the table of values of the scholarships assigned directly by FCT, I.P: in the country (see Annex I of the new Regulation), the payment is made monthly by bank transfer.

8. Selection methods and their valuation:  Applications will be ranked based on the curricular evaluation, and, if considered necessary by the jury, interviews may be carried out. In all cases, the adequacy of the applicant’s profile will be considered according to the functions/activities to be developed. Applications that do not include all the required elements for sending the application will be automatically excluded from the application process. The phases and selection criteria and their respective weightings are as follows:
a) Curricular evaluation; i) Evaluation of the Curriculum Vitae (70%); ii) Motivation letter (30%)

b) If additional evaluation elements are required, there may be an interview process between the best-classified candidates in the evaluation process. The interview may have a maximum weight of 30% for the final evaluation, with the others changing to 70%.

Form of publicity/notification of results: The final evaluation results will be notified, up to 15 days after the deadline for submission of applications, through electronic mail, from the results proposed by the jury, having access to the minutes and the final sorting list. After notification, candidates will have 10 working days to pronounce on the draft decision-making, in the pre-hearing of the interested parties, under the Code of the Administrative Procedure. After the prior hearing period, the final decision will be taken, and again notifying all candidates through electronic mail. A complaint process can be done within 15 working days (for the e-mail address used for the notification), or appeal within 10 business days, addressed to to the President of the Jury 

Application Deadline and submission process: The application process is open between  27 de Março de 2024 a 11 de Abril de 2024. Applications must be formalized by sending an e-mail to [email protected] ; indicating in the subject: “Application for a Scholarship BIC”; accompanied by the following documents: Candidate's curriculum vitae (maximum 10 pages), proof of registration for the current academic year, specified in point 2 of the call considering the current school year. For academic degrees obtained in foreign countries, which have not yet obtained either recognition or equivalence or registration of the degree, it is necessary to recognize the degree, in accordance with Decree-Law No. 66/2018, of August 16, in conjunction with Portaria No. 33/2019, of January 25th.

It is also required that the application and all documents associated with it, including the motivation and recommendation letters, be written in English.
