Rector of the University of Economics in Katowice announces a competition for the position...

The competition may be entered by persons who meet the requirements set out in Art. 113 and 116 sec. 2 of the Act

of July 20, 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended) and in § 82-83 of the Statute of the University of Economics in Katowice, and also meet the following qualification criteria:

• have a master's degree or an equivalent degree obtained in the field of study

in the field of social sciences,

• have a predisposition to research work confirmed by the opinion of the promoter or head of the department,

• have knowledge of at least one modern foreign language (preferably English, German and French),

• indicated the University of Economics in Katowice as the primary workplace within the meaning of the Act on Higher Education and Science,

• an additional advantage will be graduation from Master's or equivalent studies (uniform / second cycle) with a diploma of 5.0,

• it will be preferable to complete Master's or equivalent studies (uniform / second-cycle) not earlier than 5 years from the calendar year of the competition announcement (i.e. in 2016),

• an additional advantage will be documented foreign activity during the 1st or 2nd degree studies, e.g. obtaining long-term internships abroad, studies abroad, semester studies at a foreign university under the Erasmus program,

• an additional advantage will be above-standard activity during 1st and 2nd degree studies (e.g. research clubs, student organizations, student groups and choirs),

• knowledge of the German language will be an additional advantage,

• knowledge of MS Office as well as F4 and MAXQDA programs will be an additional advantage,

• an additional advantage will be the presentation of a preliminary outline of a research project including: topic, clearly identified research gap, research problem and goal, research hypotheses or questions, research methods and a list of literature,

• in the case of foreigners, it is required to demonstrate fluency in Polish.

A person employed as an assistant in the Department of Marketing at the College of Management will be responsible for the implementation of tasks related to: educating students of the University of Economics

in Katowice, scientific development and research activities, including cooperation with scientific institutions and business environment entities in the implementation of the College's and University's goals, organizational activities for the Department / College / University and other duties entrusted by superiors.

Planned date of employment: 01/10/2021.

Type of contract: fixed-term employment contract

Gross basic salary:

assistant (full-time work, primary workplace) - PLN 3,720 (say: three thousand seven hundred and twenty zlotys)

• other documents confirming the candidate's qualifications,

• a declaration of kinship with your immediate supervisor,

• statement on the primary / additional job,

Deadline for submitting documents: from August 16, 2021 to August 30, 2021.

After the initial verification of the submitted offers, interviews with selected candidates will be conducted from 06 to 10/09/2021.
