Postdoctoral Researcher in Organic Chemistry

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Organic Chemistry to join our Team for project focused on synthesis of inhibitor of NMD pathway.

The project is led by dr Sławomir Makowiec.

REQUIREMENTS

• PhD degree in chemistry (specialization in organic chemistry) awarded not earlier than 7 years prior to employment in the project 

• Experience in organic synthesis, including multi-step synthesis.

• Extensive knowledge in the field of organic chemistry.

• Very good knowledge of analytical methods and spectroscopic techniques 1H 13C NMR and IR MS,

• Ability to plan and carry out  syntheses of heterocyclic compounds .

• Proven practical experience in laboratory work in  synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, including indole, carbazole, pyridine and quinoline derivatives.

• Ability to work with chemicals in anaerobic and anhydrous conditions.

RESPOSIBILITIES

Implementation of selected research tasks in the NCN OPUS 20 project, "The impact of UPF1 ATP mimetics on the mutant immunopeptidome"

Synthesis of heterocyclic organic compounds ligands for UPF proteins. Planning of syntheses, development of synthesis procedures, analysis of spectroscopic data. Purification of the obtained compounds by means of chromatographic techniques, checking their chemical purity. Writing all or part of the manuscripts of scientific papers on the basis of the obtained test results in English.
