OFFER DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a full-time postdoctoral researcher who will be involved in a research project focusing on the autophagy system contributing to the quality control of organelles with a particular emphasis on peroxisomes. The successful candidate will study the molecular mechanism of peroxisome degradation via autophagy in the model plants, Arabidopsis and liverwort, with molecular cell biological and bioimaging techniques. The project is funded by Polish National Science Centre (NCN) and performed in the Plant Molecular Biology Laboratory (Dr Kenji Yamada's laboratory) at the Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.

Skills/Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- have a doctor degree in biology, biotechnology or a related field
- have at least 4 years of experience in laboratory work with molecular and cell biology analyses in plants
- have experience with techniques of DNA, RNA and protein extraction and analyses, such as PCR, qPCR and western blotting
- have basic knowledge of bioimaging, and experience of confocal microscopy will be an advantage
- be interested in experiments and scientific works related to plant cell biology
- be willing to learn new techniques and new fields
- ability to construct hypotheses, work independently and think analytically
- have good communication and writing skills in English
