Department of Photonics (https://zf.if.uj.edu.pl/en ) of the Marian Smoluchowski Institute of Physics of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, seeks for eligible candidates for the postdoc position in the project entitled „Nondemolition quantum-state tomography and spin-interaction detection” funded by the Polish National Science Centre. The aim of the project is to develop efficient experimental techniques of manipulating a collective quantum state of atoms, through application of laser light and static and oscillating magnetic fields. A means of controllable creation and manipulation of the quantum state, along with transferring the quantum state between different atomic energy levels and nondemolition tomography of the state, will be elaborated in collaboration with a group of experienced AMO physicists (both experimentalists and theoreticians) using unique experimental apparatus.
