    Detailed description:

    PhD student in an NCN grant at the University of Wroclaw (discipline: psychology)

    The position is available within the OPUS NCN grant, supervised by Dr. Bartosz Helfer https://tinyurl.com/4d2284e9 from the Institute of Psychology and Director of the Meta-Research Center at the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences of the University of Wrocław. Dr. Helfer is the conducts world-class research (see publication record) on data synthesis many scientific disciplines.

    The doctoral position is funded by the National Science Center in the field of psychological sciences and relates to assesment of quality, transparency and rigour of clinical reseraech in this field, including innovative methods of treating ADHD or investigating effectiveness of psychotherapy approaches as mental health interventions. It is research position without teaching duties.

    We expect high level of engagement, reserachers will be encouraged to develop their own research agenda and will be supported in applying for additional funding.

    Daily key research tasks for these posts correspond to different states of evidence synthesis and data evalution and include: searching scientific literature, study selection, data extraction, evaluation of data and study quality, data analysis and writing research manuscripts for publication.

    For PhD candidates we welcome applications from candidates with Master’s degree from any related discipline, especially, but not limited to: statistics, epidemiology, public health, evidence-based practice (including any allied health professions), research methods, evidence synthesis, psychology, cognitive science, medicine, mental health, nutrition, health/ research ethics, etc.

  • For PhD candidate a copy of the master degree.
  • Opinion on the scientific achievements prepared by an independent researcher.
  • Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his / her research output.
  • Two recommendation letters from people with recognized international scientific achievements (at least one from a foreign center), with the proviso that these letters are sent by e-mail to the chairman of the Competition Commission at [email protected] without the candidate's mediation and are open only to members of the Committee, and the candidate, by entering the competition, waives the right to access these lists.
