Project title: Intrinsic and induced topological properties of twodimensional boron and boron-related compounds


Project description:

The project concerns the theoretical study of low-dimensional systems based on first-principles calculations. The main objectives of the project, consist in: (i) calculations of the stability, electronic structure, and optical and magnetic properties of intrinsic and doped two-dimensional forms of boron and its compounds, and (ii) the search for two-dimensional topological insulators with large band gaps.


The candidate should:

demonstrate knowledge of condensed matter theory, have experience in quantum mechanical calculations within the framework of density functional theory (DFT). Experience in code development in Python is welcomed.


Job Type: Full-time


Salary: 4,266.00 PLN - 5,119.00 PLN per month


Ability to commute/relocate to Warsaw: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)


Education: Master's (Preferred)
