The objective of the project is to characterize the cellular functions of BEACH-domain containing proteins (BDCPs) and to further understand the molecular mechanisms underlying their role in disease. The project will involve a range of methods, including CRISPR genome editing, molecular cloning and lentivirus production, mammalian cell culture, generation of stable cell lines, live and confocal microscopy, protein interaction assays, Western blot analysis. The successful candidate should have experience from experimental laboratory work in biochemistry/molecular biology, with previous research experience within the membrane trafficking field will be considered an advantage.
