About the position

K. G. Jebsen Centre for Alzheimer’s Disease has a vacancy for a 100% position as a PhD candidate within cognitive neuroscience, affiliated to the Department of Neuromedicine and Movement Science. The aim of the newly established K. G. Jebsen Centre for Alzheimer's Disease is to identify neural mechanisms in the hippocampal system related to Alzheimer’s disease, through translational collaboration across basic laboratory research, human cognitive research and clinical medicine

The successful candidate will work on behavioral and neuroimaging studies on neural mechanisms for space, time and memory in healthy human participants and early dementia patients. The projects will be conducted in close collaboration with  Christian Doeller's research group  at the Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience , Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences , as well as the clinical research group for neurodegenerative diseases at the Neuroclinic, St. Olav’s Hospital and the Department of Neuromedicine and Movement Science, NTNU (TrønderBrain ).
