About the job

For a position as a PhD Candidate, the goal is a completed doctoral education up to an obtained doctoral degree.

Different artificial intelligence (AI) approaches have been proposed to predict software defects however most of these approaches considered datasets containing only one type of modality and majority of these datasets are textual while few of them are image datasets. In this project, a framework to detect software defects by analyzing multimodal datasets will be developed. Further an AI, in particular, Nature inspired, Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL) techniques, based model will be developed and trained using multimodal dataset. Finally, the proposed multimodal approach will be compared to models using single data modality in order to understand if any additional performance is produced by data fusion.

Your immediate leader is head of SDDE group.

Duties of the position
  • Conduct research on software defect detection using ML/DL techniques by employing various software artifacts.
  • Independently set up research plans and conduct them accordingly.
  • Comply with the PhD training program of the Faculty.
  • Publish in international conferences and journals in the relevant fields.
  • Participate in professional communities within areas relevant to the position.
