The Scholarship was established in 2016 and is funded by the Woolf Fisher Trust.
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to recognise and encourage postgraduate students, including those holding current teaching positions, who have demonstrated interest and expertise in science and mathematics teaching at primary school level, by supporting them to complete a Bachelor of Education (Honours) degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Education, specialising in primary school science and mathematics teaching in the Faculty of Education and Social Work.
