The Award was established in 2008 by Todd Mataga’s parents and brothers as a memorial to their son and sibling, a graduate of the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering. The Award is also an acknowledgement of the importance of the Auckland University Engineers Association (AUEA) to the Faculty of Engineering.
