Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Student Adviser to join the Student and Academic Services Office, Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences and Education on a permanent full-time position. The role will provide forward-thinking student advice and high quality and responsive services, resulting in student success.

This is a very busy role that can be challenging during the peak enrolment periods. It is also rewarding when you assist students to design a programme of study that will see them achieve success with their studies. You will be part of a wider team of advisers that are able to provide support and cover for each other.

Key Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification (i.e. undergraduate degree).
  • A high level of computer literary in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook and databases.
  • Substantive demonstrated experience in front line customer service.
  • Proven organisational abilities.
  • Proven ability to work to a very high standard of accuracy.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex matters in a concise and easily understandable manner.
