Otamatea Veterinary Club Scholarship

The recipient of this award will spend at least one week seeing practice with a nominated veterinary clinic during their final year. This scholarship includes $500 towards associated expenses when seeing practice.


Who we're looking for

We're looking for a fourth year student who is interested in mixed clinical practice


What you'll be studying

These are undergraduate scholarships. You will be enrolled in the Bachelor of Veterinary Science.


Eligibility criteria

You must:

  • be studying a specific programme
  • be in the fourth year of your degree
  • be willing to spend at least one week on work placement
  • be willing to attend an interview

Application checklist

Include the following with your application:

  • a covering letter
  • your CV
  • at least two references with name and contact details of referees

Selection considerations

When choosing our recipient, consideration will be given to those who are not necessarily top academic students but who are interested in mixed clinical practice with an emphasis on large animal and/or production animal medicine. Consideration will also be given to students from the general practice area in Otamatea or Northland, though this is not a requirement
