International Bursary for Vietnamese Students

The Bursary is open to all Vietnamese citizens enrolling in a full-time (120-180-points) undergraduate or postgraduate programme at the University of Waikato. All postgraduate programmes except the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) are eligible. Students who meet the University’s entry requirements for their programme of choice and receive an offer of place, will be offered an International Bursary for Vietnamese Students.

The Bursary will be awarded to all international students, who have achieved at least a GPA
of 8.0 of the Grade 12 or ‘Good Grade’ or ‘Distinction’ for the undergraduate level and
receive an offer of place, or who receive a Postgraduate offer of place from the University of Waikato

The Bursary must be taken up in the two semesters immediately following the period of
determination of eligibility.

Candidates must remain enrolled full-time for the tenure of the Bursary.

To be eligible, candidates must not be coming to the University of Waikato via a sponsoring body and not be coming to the University of Waikato on a Guaranteed Credit Arrangement through a study abroad or student exchange agreement. 

The Bursary will be applied to tuition fees only and is not transferrable.
