Updated: over 2 years ago
Job Type: Temporary
Deadline: 16 Nov 2021

Are you an enthusiastic and open minded scientist that likes to work in a diverse team of physiologists and is looking for a position in analysis and mathematical modelling of energy metabolism?
If that is the case, we invite you to apply for this position.

  • You are a computational physiologist or have all qualifications to develop yourself into a computational physiologist
  • You will work in a team of physiologists, analyzing energy metabolism at various levels of integration (molecule-whole body) for improved physiological understanding.
  • You will primarily focus on creating experiment-constrained ODE-based mathematical models. Expertise in bioinformatical interpretation and quantification of microscopy images is welcome.

Your position is funded by the "Data-Analysis and Modelling" theme of the "Next Level Animal Sciences (NLAS)" investment program and the chair group Human and Animal Physiology (HAP). Your position will be at HAP, which focuses on experimental and molecular physiological research on metabolism and mitochondria to improve human and animal health. This entails the functional analysis of energy metabolism of humans, mice and cells combined with a wide range of molecular, biochemical, immuno-histochemical and analytical methods. You will work with HAP (molecular) physiologists and scientists of the NLAS themes Data-Analysis and Modelling and "Complex Cell Systems."
