We are looking for a highly motivated candidate interested in pursuing research within the field of Psychoneuroendocrinology. The PhD student position is placed in the research group Neuropsychopharmacology at the Department of Neuroscience and Department of Women´s and Children´s Health. Project descriptionOverall the project aims to investigate the neural basis of premenstrual dysphoric disorder. The focus of the PhD student´s project will be on the following question: Are there diagnosis- and remission-related markers of brain functioning during emotion processing? Magnetic resonance imaging is used to study the brain of before and during different pharmacological treatments. This new knowledge will advance our understanding of the biological and psychological underpinnings of the disorder.

RequirementsThe applicant should hold an academic degree in Medicine, Bioinformatics, Psychology or related areas. We are looking for someone with experience in neuroimaging and neuroimaging data analysis, who has good basic knowledge within the areas of biostatistics, and molecular biology, and with a genuine interest in psychoneuroendocrinology. Good skills in spoken and written English are necessary.

The applicant must be able to work independently and be well organized. As a person, he/she should be highly motivated, thorough, systematic, and goal-oriented. She/he should also be good at working in a group. Special attention will be paid to documented experience and previous publications.
