Applications are invited for one PhD scholarship at COHERE, Department of Business and Economics, to be filled as soon as possible. The place of work will be in Odense.
The department carries out research and teaching within the following areas: Accounting, Finance, Econometrics and Management Science; Microeconomics; and Macroeconomics, International Economics and Economic History. The PhD scholarship constitutes one component of a larger project entitled "Normative Foundations and Behavioral Implications of Non-market Allocation (NORMA), which is funded by DFF. One purpose of the NORMA project is to explore new approaches to the elicitation of individual and social preferences for risky health outcomes, and seeks to improve our understanding of the relative importance of risk aversion and inequity aversion. The topic of the PhD thesis must lie within this framework.
Only applicants with high grades will be considered for the position, and strong analytical and theoretical skills are preferred.
As part of the PhD programme, an individual education programme within the field of Economics has to be completed. You will be expected to complete a six-month stay at a research institution abroad and, over the period of the programme, to acquire experience of teaching or dissemination activities. You are also expected to participate in the various activities at the department and – apart from your stay abroad – to be regularly present at the department.
The scholarship is available to students who wish to enter the PhD programme in Economics in the framework the 5+3 programme. A 5+3 PhD scholarship is granted to applicants who have completed an MSc in Economics, Mathematics and Economics, Business Administration or similar. The scholarship runs for three years. Pay and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).

Your employment as a Salaried PhD Research Fellow is governed by the agreement of October 1, 2008 on Graduate Employees in government appendix 5 – protocol on PhD Research Fellows.

Applications will be assessed by a committee. When the evaluation committee has submitted its report, the applicant will receive the part of the evaluation that concerns him/her.
Applications that are incomplete with regard to the above requirements will not be assessed by the committee.
