PhD position in our programme on radionuclide therapy (radiochemistry)

You will perform research into the application or the radiobiology of a novel radionuclide therapy agent, and assist with the development of novel radionuclide therapy agents. The research should result in a PhD thesis.

Essential criteria
- You have an MSc in a relevant discipline (e.g. chemistry).
- Experience with organic chemistry synthesis.
- Willing to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, with a high degree of cross training.
- Willing to work with radionuclides.
- A keen interest in cancer research.
- Motivation, resilience, and independence. Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, in both oral and written English.

Desired criteria
- Experience with open source ionising radiation, radiochemistry, and/or or radionuclide therapy is a plus.
- Art. 9 certificate, or FELASA equivalent.

The UMCG has a preventive Hepatitis B policy. The UMCG can provide you with the vaccination, should it be required for your position.

In case of specific professions a ‘Certificate of Good Conduct’ is required.
