PhD position in Algebraic Geometry (1.0 FTE)
Moduli spaces of sheaves on algebraic varieties have interesting applications to many fields ranging from 19th century enumerative geometry to quantum field theory (Yang-Mills theory). Several recent developments led to new directions in the field, such as K-theoretic invariants, real enumeration, and invariants of Calabi-Yau 4-folds. The PhD project explores various new problems through a combination of new and recent techniques. This PhD position in algebraic geometry is funded by NWO Vidi grant VI.Vidi.192.012 (Moduli of sheaves: new directions).
The candidate is offered a full-time position for four years. The gross salary is in the range between €2,325 and maximum €2,972 (scale P according to the Collective Employment Agreement of the Dutch Universities) for a full-time employment.
