As a PhD student in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Toxicology, you will part of the research programme ‘Personalised Therapeutics’. This programme aims to optimize drug treatment by personalising the dose and drug selection based on a better understanding of the genetic variation that is causal for the inter-patient variability in drug response. The PhD project is part of the SafePolyMed project in which researchers from twelve institutes across Europe collaborate to develop innovative tools to define, assess and manage drug-drug-gene interactions with the objective to promote enhanced patient empowerment and reduce adverse drug reactions.
In short
· You hold a master’s in pharmacy, biopharmaceutical sciences and/or medicine
· Your aim is to contribute to a better understanding of effects of genetic variability and drug-drug interactions in drug responses
· You will work on a patient centred approach to empower polypharmacy patients in their medication use
· You will be part of a multidisciplinary, innovative and academic environmen
