Are you an aspiring researcher and do you want to develop and validate math and models under the supervision of expert staff in machine learning? Then you have a part to play as a PhD candidate. Join a lively, international and interactive group of researchers where you can become an expert in your field and put your ideas to the test with our excellent facilities.
Do you want to be responsible for the development and validation of maths and models under the supervision of expert staff in machine learning? Then we invite you to apply for a PhD position on 'the algorithmic foundations of complex learning systems with focus on game theoretical multi-agent mechanisms'. This project is embedded within the European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent systems (ELLIS) Unit in Radboud AI. You will be part of the Nijmegen ELLIS unit support.

You will be responsible for innovating and creating state-of-the-art algorithms in complex systems such as reinforcement learning with an emphasis on multi-agent interactions. This will also entail creating production level research code in Python and C++, and generating an open-source knowledge base. Knowledge dissemination is an integral part, and you are expected to both publish extensively as well as give invited seminar talks and general-purpose content such as blogs.
