Education Student Assistants

The College of Communication is responsible for the education within the Bachelor’s programme in Communication Science. We are searching for enthusiastic and ambitious student assistants to help optimise the teaching experience in the coming first semester.


What are you going to do

Student assistants are needed for the first year course Methods of Communication Research and Statistics, and possibly other Bachelor’s courses. You will assist tutorial lecturers with all kind of teaching and administrative tasks.

Tasks may include:

  • assisting lecturers in grading student assignments;
  • answering student e-mails;
  • administrative tasks;
  • editing Canvas;
  • monitoring Canvas Discussion Board.

What do we require

This job is an excellent opportunity for ambitious students who would like to build up their CV. The student assistant we are looking for:

  • is currently a senior Bachelor’s student or (Research) Master’s student Communication Science;
  • is fluent in Dutch and/or English;
  • is friendly, socially skilled, service-minded and stress-resistant;
  • is able to work independently and has a flexible schedule (some weeks will be more busy than others).

Our offer

The position is for the period of 1 September 2021 to 31 December 2021, for 8 hours per week. An extension of your contract might be possible. Depending on the year of study, the salary range is €2.110 to €2.462 gross per month (Student Assistant salary grade, pursuant to the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities ) based on a full-time workweek.
