The Amsterdam Institute for Logic, Language and Computation and the Department of Media Studies of the Faculty of Humanities are looking for multiple student assistants for a NWO-funded Corona fast-track project: Collecting systematic survey data on scientists’ information-seeking and information-spreading behaviour in a time of crisis, supervised by Dr Giovanni Colavizza.
This is a research program that uses data from multiple survey waves to investigate how scientists adapt to the ‘infodemic’: information cascades on COVID-19 that also contain much misinformation. Scientists have a crucial role to play in the infodemic. How do they adapt to it as the crisis unfolds? The insights from this project will be used to inform governments and experts. Read more about the research project here .
