To strengthen our team in the Faculty of Business and Globalization/Department for Management and Economics we are looking for a

PhD Student (m/f/d)

30 hours/week

Your tasks

  • Research in management/organizational science with regards to digital transformation, sustainability and innovation
  • Scientific work within an existing research project
  • Publishing research findings in international, peer-reviewed scientific journals
  • Participating in and presenting your work at international conferences
  • Enrolling in and fulfilling the curriculum of the PhD Program “Technology, Innovation, and Cohesive Societies” at the Danube University Krems
  • Participation in grant writing
  • Participation in supervising master theses and seminars

Your profile

  • Completed university degree (Master/Diploma) in the field of Business Administration/ Management or Organizational Science
  • Strong research interest in management/organizational questions in the light of digital transformation, innovation and sustainability
  • Strong expertise and interest in quantitative research methods and software (SPSS, Stata,..), Interest in qualitative methods and software (Nvivo,..) desirable
  • Technological affinity
  • Ability to communicate with interdisciplinary cooperation partners
  • Readiness for independent, scientific work and publication activity for the advancement of a scientific career
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English (C1), good command of spoken and written German (B2)
  • Flexibility, resilience and ability to work in a team

Your perspective

  • A part-time position (30 hours per week - flexible working hours) for 3 years and EUR 2.918,71 minimum gross monthly salary of W3/1 Danube University Krems Work and Remuneration Regulations)
