PhD candidate in Resilient Real-Time and Embedded Systems for Space and Ground

Successful candidates will have the opportunity of shaping their PhD research around challenging and innovative research themes, as well as contributing to the ambitious research agenda of the CritiX lab. They will be given excellent conditions for the development of their research skills, in terms of working conditions, mentoring and laboratory facilities.

The research topics this opening is calling for are:

  • Resilient Real-Time and Embedded Systems with a focus on Space Vehicles
  • Fault and Intrusion Tolerant Real-Time Operating Systems, capable of withstanding radiative environments
  • Hardware- / Software Co-design of Real-Time and Embedded Systems for Space

The candidate will be embedded in the FNR funded projects Hypervisor Enforced Radiation Tolerance in Multi-Core SoCs for Space (HERA) and Resilient and Secure Activation Control (ReSAC) as well as in the group’s industry partnerships, including with Intel Labs Europe and Huawei.
