The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH) is a research centre for the study, analysis and public dissemination of contemporary history of Luxembourg and Europe with a particular focus on digital methods and tools for doing innovative historical research. It serves as a catalyst for innovative and creative scholarship and new forms of public dissemination and societal engagement with history.


Your Role...

Realize a PhD thesis on the Colonial History of Luxembourg (with a focus on Belgian Congo) from the 19th century to the 1960s.

What we expect from you…
  • M.A. in Contemporary History or Cultural Studies with a focus on the History of Colonialism/Imperialism;
  • Participation in collaborative and interdisciplinary research projects;
  • Interest in digital methods and in transmedia storytelling;
  • Active knowledge of French, English and German. Notions of Luxemburgish constitute an advantage.
