The project is a collaboration between Reykjavik University and an industrial partner, Landsvirkjun National Power Company.

The main objective of this project is to develop a CFD model which could be utilized for designing ejector for geothermal applications by combining low- and high pressure wells with an aim to draw the low pressure steam up to the operating pressure.

There are two positions available: a three years Ph.D. position and a two years PostDoc position. The successful applicants will be based at Reykjavík University in Iceland. Both positions are paid positions under Rannis Technology Development Fund.

The successful candidates will contribute to:

  • Design of laboratory setup for performing steam ejector performance analysis
  • Laboratory scale measurements of the ejector as required for CFD model development

  • Validation of the model to available field and laboratory measurements

Qualifications: The candidates should have postgraduate degrees in engineering, physics or related fields. The candidates must be self-organised with a strong ability to work autonomously and to have strong ability to communicate in English (oral and written).
