Remuneration with an hourly rate of 12 € gross with a working time of 8,6 hours/week.

The position is to be filled for 12 months as soon as possible.

Project description:

The Leibniz ScienceCampus Bremen Digital Public Health (www.lsc-digital-public-health.de ) is a highly interdisciplinary research collaboration between the Leibniz-Institut für Präventionsforschung und Epidemiologie – BIPS GmbH (Leibniz-Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology –BIPS) and the University of Bremen, funded for an initial period of 4 years. The Leibniz ScienceCampus Bremen Digital Public Health (LSC DiPH) sets out to advance interdisciplinary research in this charged and fast-moving scientific and societal environment. Within the Leibniz Science Campus Bremen, we are investigating digital interventions to change health behaviors. Our focus is on interventions and applications that integrate with accelerometers to detect motion and use this information within the intervention. We aim at examining the comparative effectiveness and efficacy of such interventions with a particular focus on behavior change techniques used in such interventions, and determinants of engaging with such interventions. To do so, we plan a series of systematic reviews and original empirical research. The successful student assistant candidate will work closely with the doctoral researcher.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in epidemiology, biology, medicine, statistics, health sciences or in a related subject
  • Interest in scientific project work in the field of epidemiology
  • Fast comprehension and the willingness to learn new things
  • Experience in systematic review is desirable
  • Flexibility, independence, sense of responsibility, accuracy and ability to work in a team

Tasks:

  • Literature search
  • Title, abstract and full text screening
  • Citation management
  • Data extraction
  • Preparation of summary tables
