Being one of the best faculties in Economics in Germany, the TUM School of Management is building a unique bridge between Management and Technology within an international teaching and learning environment. For our TUM Campus Heilbronn, the TUM School of Management of the Technical University of Munich is currently looking for a Research Fellow (PhD Candidate) in Finance in the Field of Capital Market Research (m/f/d)

Our Requirements:
 The candidates should have completed (or are completing) a Master’s degree or equivalent in Management/Business, Economics, Business Mathematics, or Information Systems
 Enthusiasm for conducting high quality and innovative empirical research in Finance
 Intellectual curiosity and an interest in pursuing a career in academia
 Strong statistical training and quantitative research methods
 Experience with programming languages such as R, Python, Stata, or Matlab is highly desirable
 Ability to work both independently and as part of a research team
 Good interpersonal and organizational skills
 Superior academic track record
 Excellent English language skills

Your Responsibilities:
 The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sebastian Müller on research, focusing on Asset Pricing, Asset Management, Behavioral Finance, Digital Finance, and/or Sustainable Finance.
 The doctoral candidate is willing to support the teaching activities at the Center for Digital Trans-formation at TUM Campus Heilbronn.
 In addition, the doctoral candidate will participate in the PhD program of TUM School of Management.
 Moreover, the successful candidate will work on third-party funded projects.

 Depending on qualifications, the attractive remuneration will be based on the Collective Agreement for the Civil Service of the Länder (E13 TV-L)
 Full-time position (part-time possible)
 The vacant position can be filled from March 2023 or by arrangement and is initially limited for 3 years.
