Postdoctoral position (f/m/d) SFB 1252 – Prominence in Language

The project C03 “Reference management in bilingual narratives” of the Collaborative Research Center “Prominence in Language” at the University of Cologne is seeking a postdoctoral researcher (100%). The working contract is expected to begin October 1st, 2021 and end December 31st, 2024. More information:

YOUR TASKS

• Designing, conducting and evaluating eye-tracking experiments and collaborating to the design of off-line tasks (e.g., metalinguistic awareness tasks)
• Contributing to data collection in bilingual schools
• Supporting the principal investigators and the doctoral candidate in the coordination of the project
• Presenting the results of the work in international conferences and publications
• Establishing collaborations with other project within the Collaborative Research Center

YOUR PROFILE

• PhD in psycho-/neurolinguistics, language acquisition or cognitive science
• Experience in designing and conducting eye-tracking experiments
• Excellent programming skills
• Great ability to work in a team and open-mindedness towards new research topics
• Research experience at the international level
• Academic proficiency in English

The position is available from the 01.10.2021on a full-time basis. It is limited to the 31.12.2024. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
