The World Agricultural Systems Center, Hans Eisenmann Forum (HEF) for Agricultural Sciences of the Technical University of Munich is located at the campus in Weihenstephan. We network 30 agricultural chairs at TUM, support collaboration with other agricultural institutions on site, provide a platform for communication and dialogue with the various fields of agriculture and support the transfer of knowledge to society. A key initiative of HEF is the development and coordination of climate change impact and adaptation research in agriculture across campus.

Description

We are looking for an outstanding Postdoc in crop physiology/cropping systems modeling to carry out excellent research and develop, support and manage research networks in climate change impact and adaptation. This Postdoc position at the interface of research and science management will give you a unique opportunity to research on climate change issues related to agriculture, to develop strategies for climate change adaptation and mitigation and to manage research networks. Please consider applying if you have a strong background in crop physiology and climate change.

We especially seek individuals who have experience and knowledge in crop physiology, combined with:

• Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing,

• Independence, self-reliant working style,

• Willingness and interest in learning about new and challenging topics,

• Team player,

• Good knowledge of German (speaking and writing)

Desirable experience and knowledge areas include:

• Crop modelling

• Field experimentation

• Research networks
