in the field of superconducting thin films. The main emphasis of the work is the integration of high temperature superconductors as YBa2 Cu3 O7-x in layer architectures for potential quantum computers. The tasks include the preparation of films on relevant substrates using pulsed laser deposition, the microstructuring of the grown epitaxial layers and the characterization of the new architectures in cooperation with research groups at the Fraunhofer ENAS Chemnitz and the TU Chemnitz.

Potential candidates (m/f/d) should hold a Masters or Diploma degree in Physics, Materials Science or related topics and must show strong knowledge in solid state physics and experimental research. Preferably, the applicant (m/f/d) has also experience in one or more of the following topics: superconductivity, thin film deposition techniques, epitaxial growth, structural characterisation with X-ray and electron beam techniques, electric measurement techniques. We are looking for a candidate (m/w/d) with pronounced initiative, creativity, ability to work effectively in a team, as well as fluency of written and spoken English.

The employment relationship, including remuneration, is based on the collective bargaining law for the public service of the federal states (TV-L EG 13, 70 %).
