Scope of duties
* You will work in the context of complex human diseases, within the DFGCRC 1123 CRC 914, TRR 359 as well as the ERC Grant T-MEMORE on translational mechanisms and networks of novel therapeutic as well as diagnostic immune targets in cardiovascular diseases by single-cell based multiomics approaches as well as advanced imaging approaches and advanced in vitro setups
* You will work in close collaboration with clinicians and will conduct targeted multiomics analyses of clinical high-throughput data (bulk RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, proteomics, flow cytometry in combination with clinical data on patient outcome)
* You will contribute on the development of integrative bioinformatics methods for answering complex biological questions, particularly in the domain of network integrative methods
* You will present the results at project meetings and publish them in high-ranking scientific journals

Our requirements
* The applicant should have a major interest in cardiovascular immunology and innate immunity
* Good knowledge in scientific scripting and programming languages like Python3 or R; good knowledge in C/C++ and/or Java is beneficial but not obligatory
* Experience with the analysis of experimental data and high-throughput data ((sc)RNA-seq, proteomics, etc.) is a plus
* Further we expect strong communication and teamwork skills

We further provide reverse translation of the key findings, identified by multiomics, to disease models and advanced in vitro models. A PhD or a Dr. rer. nat, Dr. biol. hum., Dr. med. are possible.
