The Carbohydrate Materials Group (group leader Dr. Martina Delbianco) at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam, Germany invites applications from outstanding young scientists for the position of

PhD student (m/f/d) in organic and supramolecular chemistry

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student and team player with strong communication skills and the desire to work in a dynamic field of Carbohydrate Materials.

You should have a degree in Chemistry, or closely related fields, with an outstanding profile and interests in:
• Organic synthesis
• Supramolecular chemistry
• Experience in carbohydrate chemistry or structural analysis (NMR, TEM, SEM, AFM) is beneficial but not required.

The position will be under the project GLYCOFOLD (ERC – 101075357) in the Carbohydrate Materials group (https://www.mpikg.mpg.de/carbohydrate-materials).

The position is available starting from May 2023 with a flexible starting date.
