The Department of Colloids Chemistry (Director Prof. Dr. M. Antonietti) at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam, Germany invites applications from outstanding young scientists for the position of

PhD student in materials science (m/f/d)

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student in the field of materials science with a major interest in electrochemistry. The project is on the development of sustainable aqueous electrolytes for next-generation batteries and supercapacitors. The candidate should have a degree in Chemistry-Materials Science or closely related fields, with an outstanding profile, a strong background and interests in
• Batteries
• Electrolyte preparation and characterization
• Electrochemical characterization

The position is available starting from 1st October 2022.
