At the Institute of Radiooncology – OncoRay scientists (f/m/d) specializing in medicine, physics, biology and IT work together to crucially improve the treatment of cancer by administering radiation therapy that is biologically-personalized and technically-optimized.
As part of the Institute, the Department of Radiobiology invites applications as PhD Student (f/m/d) Research group Molecular and Cellular Radiobiology.
The position will be available from 1 December 2022. The employment contract is limited to three years.
Your tasks:
- Handling of cell cultures, primary cell cultures/organoids/cancer stem cells
- Methods of Cell and Molecular Biology
- Bioinformatic analysis of omics data sets
Your profile:
- Diploma or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biology or Bioengineering with very good marks
- Strong experience in handling cell cultures, primary cell cultures/organoids/cancer stem cells, cell and molecular biology, bioinformatic analysis of omics data sets (e.g. transcriptome, methylome, or similar)
- Experience in histology and staining including the microscopic analysis of tissues
- Goal oriented, capable of handling deadlines and highly motivated
- Team player (f/m/d) who can also operate independently
